Welcome to my club rabbit (CR) race car project page. Club Rabbit is a spec class for 1975 to 1980 VW Rabbits that run in the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs. International means US and Canada. I picked the CR class for two reasons. Firstly, I like VW's. Secondly, and more importantly, CR is one of the more affordable entries into racing - parts are readily available and cheap.
The goal of my CR project isn't to get racing quickly - that just requires a bunch of money. I spend my days in front of computers, so this is going to be my outlet - I will get my hands dirty, skin my knuckles, and do as much of the work as I can myself. This site documents the timeline and costs for building a CR, along with a lot of pictures. I plan on recycling whatever parts I don't need instead of throwing them out. As things come out of the car, I'll post them to the VW Vortex forums.
